Inexpensive Smokey Brown Eye w/ Red Lips

This is my very inexpensive look. You should already have most of the products that are being used.
If you do not have any of them, they are no more than $5 or so. Hope you enjoy.
Try it out and share your look with me.
HERE WE GO!!!

Cleansing is very important, if you don't start with a clean palette it won't look clean.
So invest in a good cleanser and a Astringent. (The products used were Avon's Clear Skin: Blackhead eliminating daily cleanser and Clear Skin: Blackhead eliminating daily astringent)
Step 2 Will be your lotion. Your skin should be protected from you makeup as much as possible in my opinion and you need to keep it hydrated. Of course make sure you are picking something for your skin type. Don't buy something that has a lot of oils in it if you skin is already oily and vice versa. (Used: Avon's Solutions AM Total Radiance. This is a oil-free product. I have naturally oily skin )
SN: Don't forget your neck its a really important place too that is usually ignored.
OK now we apply our primer after our lotion has completely dried. Now you are probably looking at this like doesn't that say Monistat on it? yes it does. (Thanks to my bestie Chelly for this tip) It is less expensive than most primers and does just as good a job if not better. It leaves your skin smooth and ready for anything you want to glide on which you will find in our next step. Don't be scared to apply to your eye lids, I do this everyday. (You don't have to apply this to your neck and this is price right under $5 at WalMart)
Here we go its finally foundation time. So I use wedges to apply mine so I don't get my hands all messy and for a more even cover (you can find these at the $1 store for yep $1... packages of 32). Cover your entire face and under your jaw line so you don't look like you are wearing a mask and everyone can see your makeup line. (I use Rimmels Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation. It can withstand sweat and rain.
This will be your most expensive product if you don't already have some at $7.95)
You are probably wondering why we are putting powder on now and we haven't even put our eye shadow or anything else on yet. Well another tip from my bestie. If while applying eye shadow if falls down on your     cheeks it makes it much easier to brush off. Now I use this brush
to clean off any excess that may fall, instead of the wedge as that would just blend it in vs this that just brushes it right off. Don't forget to put your powder under your jawline also to avoid the dreaded mask.
(This is Loreal's True Match super Blendable Powder)
Already on step 6 going smoothly so far I hope. Eyebrows now everyone does this differently. It is whatever you are most comfortable with. First be sure you have fresh plucked or waxed brows. We don't want un-groomed eye brows after all. Now I pluck my eyebrows everyday before putting on my makeup that might be a little extreme for some but mine will get out of control if I don't keep them right. So I use a soft black eye shadow and a very small brush and simply brush over my brows. There may be gaps that need to be filled in and you can always extend them if need be also. Some people like to use a pencil instead. (The eye shadow used is LA Colors and was found at the $1 store, the brush is from MARKS miniature brush kit.)

Next you want to take a skin tone colored shadow to use as your base. You will apply this over the entire eye lid as shown above. This is just your base but you want it to be as even as possible as seen above.
I use an AVON multiple color kit and chose the 1 color inside that matches my skin the best.
Next we finally start applying some color because I was going with brown and didn't want to make it too dramatic, I stayed with very neutral colors. I used first a pale yellow on the inner corner into the middle of my eyelid as drawn on the example above. You want to pat this color on to your eye. You don't want to brush it on as you are not blending and you want to show as much of the color as possible.
(This is the Beauty Book: Bright Eye Edition by e.l.f it is only $5)
The next step is to do your second color which in this look was a very light brown.
You can see in the picture above where the color goes. The opposite side of the yellow starting where
the yellow ends and going out the the outer edge of the eye. After you have both on.
Use your blending brush that I put above and blend the 2 colors together.
Now pay close attention to the lines above. This is not a section you are filling in with your darkest color but lines you are making using your defining brush we looked at earlier. Now this will be the majority of your time using eye shadow as you want to thoroughly blend it lightly into the crease but not too dark in this area When you are at the top, blend up towards your brow but you don't want it to touch your brow. Lastly go across the lash line. After this is done you want to go back in with your pale yellow and your light brown to make it stand out more. I also like to highlight my eye by blending a white across the top of my lid closest to my brow.

I also didn't take a picture but I used a brown eye liner and went across the top and under my eye with it.
Use as little or as much as you like but it really helps to make your eyes pop.
(Eyeliner in any color can be found for about .99 at WalMart or Walgreens)
Blush is next, you want to add this in a j or u shape on your cheek starting around your nostril and going up towards the corner of your eye. (This is again a LA Colors product I found at the $1 store.)

Now we are going to curl our lashes, hold the curler as close to your lash line as possible and hold for at least 30 seconds on each eye then you can apply your mascara.
(This is Loreal's Voluminous Million Lashes)

Well we finally made it to lips and you are probably wondering where the lipstick is. Well I have yet to find a red I love so I have been using a Red lip liner I purchased and apply over my entire lips.
It is a bit dry but actually has lasted me longer than any lipstick I have found.
We have come to the end. Apply your powder again and Voila you are done!
Hope you enjoyed my tutorial and again you share your looks with me.
Happy Make-uping

Revlon } Just Bitten Lipstain + Balm...

The perfect Red. How do you find this? Answer I found... search
Now if you havent noticed by now i am very frugal..(thats the nice way of saying it. i am cheap!) so i gave in and told myself that if i dont give in and start buying the product i cant ever find what i need. I will tell you applying ur lip gear, takin a sip of coffee lookin up to the mirror and your lips are naked. That is sooo annoying. So here we go we have officially tried our first and unfortunately not our last. Mrs Revlon Just Bitten color=gothic. Well i must say I love love love that it looks like a permanent marker and allows you to draw it right on your lips. wait! let it dry. now put on the balm. so the color goes on great and looks vibrant the balm slides on nicely. Now.. if you like your lips feeling like you just rolled around on the beach with your face in the sand then yessss this is the product for you. the balm is so deceiving it goes on so nice and smooth but me personally I cannot stand dry lips. I dont want them to look dry, feel dry, think dry. There should be nothing dry about my lips, and all this product does is make the DRY.
Day 1 please do not ask me how but i will say that 4hrs after application I did still have red lips... however I also had red fingers a red door and I think a red shirt. oh wait i was wearing red that doesnt count but seriously I have no idea how this stuff got everywhere.
Day 2 color last for approx 8hrs. It did fade as time went on but overall that is not to bad. now on day 2 i didnt get it on anything but i have to say on day 1 i reapplied the balm a few times because my lips felt so dry.  vs on day 2 I dealt with the dryness but there was no mess and it lasted longer
Day 3 I didnt use the product I am giving it a rest and plan on using my own gloss over the stain but am scared I may get the same mess as day 1.
Over all I am rating this a **.5 stars.
Vibrant Color
No scent
Non messy application
Fairly in expensive at $7
I will not purchase this item again tho.

Rimmel- My new favorite (in-expensive) brand

I always look for primers. Of course it is a great base one. two to smooth your face out and most important to help your make up stay on all day long. I dont like to spend a lot of money on myself so I def do look for a deal. I recently came across a small section at Wal-mart for Rimmel.

*Rimmel (commonly known as Rimmel London) is a cosmetics brand, now owned by Coty, Inc.. The House of Rimmel was originally founded by Eugene Rimmel in 1834 in Regent Street, London, UK[1].
Rimmel produces make-up products, and is currently one of the world's most popular make-up producers.
Rimmel's motto is Get the London Look.

Obviously not a new brand. still brand new to me I have fallen in love. Their Primer is the low cost of $7 and lasts for an extremely long time, as a little goes a long way.

I use the primer prior to my powder (not using a foundation at this time) and again after my powder over my eyelids as the base for my shadow.

My best friend recently gave me a mascara during a visit and I noticed today when going to test it that it was also by Rimmel aside from the Primer I dont currently use any of their other products. I am convinced they have some of the best products , at a low price on the market. I used the mascara after a lash curler (which honestly with this mascara i dont think was needed) and it went on smooth with no clumps or bending of the lashes. I put 2 coats on out of habit but it was great after just 1 application. My lashes looked longer than ever. I usally buy Maybelline XXL Pro and they have never been this long. Rimmel's mascara shows that it sells on walmart.com for $4.32 vs the $7.95 I pay for my maybelline on a regular basis.  I will definetly be checking out their other products and letting you know how they are.

Lipstick Review

Nails- Complain or Suck it up?

Alright so went to the nail shop today as I do faithfully every 2 weeks. I have my favorite nail artist *Tammy today she was doing someone else's nails and had 2 other people waiting for her. (I never make an appt... I will learn one day) Today she said "why dont you have Sonny do them because I am going to be awhile" I asked her "is he as good as you? because if he isnt i will be so mad at you!" she laughed and walked away so I signed in to wait for Sonny who was not there at the moment I saw her pic up her phone and I can only assume she called him to come back in. Typically he is outside smoking. So my first issue was I then sat there for 20 minutes at his work station waiting for him. I wasnt that annoyed I suppose because I had my Galaxy Tab (blog to come on that gadget in the future) so I was catching up on facebook posts i missed while at work today. Alright I am rambling so anyway. He finally shows up and takes a seat in front of me. He doesn't say hello he says "what are we doing"? Note during this whole experience I cant say that he was ever rude to me but he just was not polite. So I typically do a french tip or colored tip and today being my anniversary I wanted to splurge so I decided to get a pretty design. I looked through alot of designs and went with a Pretty design with the laughter/tragedy masks with a shadow going from brown to light brown to white. I don't like to just take what is given to me so I asked him if he can do it with black going to pink into white. He said "let me see your nails" again and said yes. I asked how much and my usual $15 for a rebase of acrylic nails and $5 for tip colors painted is def cheap I never complain about price and for how detailed this design was when he quoted me $25 for the rebase and design I was more than happy to pay. Alright so he finished the base work quicker than I have ever had anyone finish my nails and done very well. Great so far. Alright so He asks me to pick a pink nail polish that throws me off considering I would expect all of this to be airbrush aside from the base coat. When I look at him puzzled he says nevermind come on. I said should I grab a black? He tells me no. Alright so anyway I really wish that I had a picture of the original but yeah I dont maybe I will go back later. So anyway let me just get to it. He spays the end of my nails hot pink then sprays the top black. (who does that?) then sprays some white inbetween. then sprays the masks on that dont have any eyes btw. then adds the rest of the design. he did clean up my fingers from all the black and pink that he spayed all over my fingers instead of using common sense and painting them black. shading the pink in with airbrush leaving the tips white and then adding the design so below is the finished project of what i got which looks nothing like what I asked for. I suppose if you dont know what it is suppose to look like.they are alright and different but my question is. Should I have complained and had someone else do it? have him do it over or do what i did. Sucked it up took it for what it is and left? Comments?

Something New

Alrighty so this will be your typical first blog post you would see from someone.
The hello Im here, but hopefully I do plan to continue to post and not leave the one post on here never to be heard from again. I have created this page for 1 reason and 1 reason only because my best friend asked me to lol. yep thats right she asked and I did. Thats the kind of friends we are. I think this could be a lot of fun tho. I am very opinionated not always such a good thing but hell. Its my page if you dont want to hear it you dont have to read it or look at it right? Thats my thoughts on it anyway. I will pre warn everyone. My grammar...yeah questionable. It is just plain out horrible. there will be 10 periods after one word and none for 6 sentences straight just work with me people you might have to re-read it twice but it will be well worth it lol. Have a good one
